With the recent escalation of violence all over Nigeria, do you think the practice of true federalism could help to resolve Nigerian security problems?

Federalism in Nigeria refers to the devolution of self-governance by the West African nation of Nigeria to its federated states, who share sovereignty with the Federal Government. Federalism in Nigeria can be traced to Sir Frederick Lord Lugard , when the Northern and Southern protectorates were amalgamated in 1914.

Will Federalism solve the greater security issues in Nigeria?

Image
Yes it`s long overdue
Yes because states can be able to address their issues
Yes because the reach of the Federal government is not enough to solve problems in the state level
No because it a step on route to the break-up of Nigeria
No because some states will be left in poverty
